What's the meaning of life
QUESTION: What's the meaning of life?ANSWER:The Bible is a great resource to discover and peruse the meaning of life. King Solomon penned most of the poetic books in the Old Testament. He is famous for his ponderings about the meaning of life as it pertains to the relations of the human race. God asked King Solomon what he wanted most; he chose wisdom. Much of his ventures into discovering the meaning of life can be read in these Old Testament books: Psalms, Proverbs, Song of Solomon, and Ecclesiastes.
King Solomon viewed all the experiences that mankind struggled through and besieged God with many questions about the meaning of life. He wrote about the situations that awakened within man's consciousness to ponder upon life and what that meant to the world's population in an individual sense. What sparked the quest for the meaning of life inside the seeker? Was it a painful experience that opened the pandemonium of questions? Was it peaceful moments of contentment that allowed the mind to wander? Each situation is addressed or alluded to in the Bible.
Answers to the meaning of life question lies in a God-based philosophy, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." Starting with this precept builds a foundation that envelops a strong belief in humanity and allows us to see mankind the way God sees us.
Portray the meaning of life by treating others kindly. Offering support to the helpless along with remembering the poor, the widows, and the orphans are reinforcements in finding the meaning of life. We become more wholesome as we do these acts of kindness. The Bible says if we remember to take care of the strangers in our midst, we may unknowingly entertain angels.
It doesn't take much to please God in our pursuit for the meaning of life. He wants us to be thoughtful to one another and in so doing, we please Him. Good things come to those who are patient and seek God early. In remembering others above ourselves, God brings what we need into our lives. We will never lack in our life as long as we put forth God's teachings of "love thy neighbor."
We can make God's day by believing that His Son,
Jesus, died for our sins, enabling us to be forgiven of the things we do that sadden Him. Showing our tendencies to be nice to people, spurs God into action when people wrong us. God takes vengeance on the ones who treat us badly. Allowing God to dole out the vengeance, assures us it is done the right way. With this philosophy, God accomplishes many things in our lives as well as in the lives of others.
People, looking for meaning in their lives, find it by bringing meaning into one another's life.
